What is in a kit

Every kit boxes the three things a home floor needs: pre-cut marley, cushioned interlocking subfloor tiles, and seam tape. The tiles snap together, the marley unrolls on top, and the taped edge forms a low ramp instead of a trip edge. No tools, no glue, no contractor.

The VersaStep Pro Kit ($324.99, 5.25 by 10 feet) uses our flagship 1.5mm marley, rated for every style including tap. The ProStep Kit (from $239.99) uses our reversible value marley and comes in four sizes up to 15.75 by 15 feet, with a choice of 3/8 or 3/4 inch cushioning. Pick 3/4 inch for concrete slabs or serious daily hours.

Common questions

Which kit size do I need?

One dancer practicing turns and barre work is comfortable at 5.25 by 10 feet. Two dancers, or anyone drilling traveling combinations, should look at the 10.5 foot widths and up. Measure the clear space first; furniture always wins.

Do kits work over carpet?

The foam subfloor tiles want a firm base, so kits suit hard floors best. Over carpet, trim the marley to sit inside the tile edge and tape it to the tiles, or use rigid practice tiles as the base instead.

How long does setup take?

Under an hour for the smallest kit. Let the marley relax flat for 24 to 48 hours after unboxing for the cleanest result before you tape the edges.
