Set it up in an afternoon
Installation
Lay it down once and you're done. No subfloor work, no adhesives, no studio downtime longer than a lunch break.

Acclimate the rolls
Lay the rolls flat in the studio for 24 hours so the vinyl matches the room's temperature and humidity.
Tip · 65-75°F and under 60% RH is the sweet spot.

Sweep and dry the sub-floor
Concrete or sprung wood, the only thing under our flooring should be the sub-floor itself: no dust, no debris.

Roll it out
Start at the longest wall. Unfurl with the printed arrows pointing the same direction across the whole room.
Tip · Leave a ⅛" expansion gap at every wall. The vinyl breathes.

Seam and tape
Butt seams tight. Run double-sided marley seam tape down the middle of each join and perimeter tape around the edges.

Walk it in
Light foot-roll along seams, then dance class as normal. Most studios open the next morning.
Care & maintenance
Three quick habits will keep your floor looking studio-fresh year after year.
Damp mop
Once a week, run a barely-damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Never vinegar, never bleach.
WeeklyDeep clean
Quarterly, lift the perimeter tape, mop edges, dry, and re-tape. The seams thank you.

How is the price calculated?
Price is per linear foot at a fixed 63" (5.25 ft) width, and we show the same price as a per square foot rate so you can compare it with any other floor. That rate holds for every cut up to 89 ft, and the full 90 ft roll is discounted below it. Pick a color, choose your length in feet, and the page shows your roll price plus shipping before you add to bag.
What's the minimum and maximum cut?
Minimum is 5 ft; maximum is 90 ft (one full roll). Need longer? Order multiple cuts. We can color-match across rolls from the same dye lot.
Can I get an exact length?
Yes, we cut to the foot. If you need half-foot precision, leave a note in your order and we'll honor it. We err generous on cuts (an extra inch or two), never short.
How long does a custom cut take to ship?
Custom cuts ship in 3-5 business days from our network of US warehouses, then 2-5 days transit depending on your zone. Need it faster? Email us. We run rush cuts for events and openings.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping is a flat $49.99 for your whole order, however many rolls you buy, anywhere in the lower 48 states. The order total on this page already includes it, so the shipping charge does not change at checkout. Sales tax is added there.
Alaska, Hawaii and the US territories are the exception: our freight carrier does not return a rate for them, so email support@danceflooringinc.com with your address and we will quote the freight and take the order by hand.
Do you match other prices?
Yes. If you find the same genuine roll in stock for less at another US retailer, email a link to support@danceflooringinc.com before you order and we will match it. Marketplace and auction listings, clearance and closeout lots, and prices that exclude freight are the exceptions.
What is the return policy for rolls?
Custom-cut, made-to-order and special-order rolls are final sale for non-defective items. Full uncut stock rolls qualify for returns initiated within 30 days of delivery when unused, uninstalled and in original packaging. Contact us for an RMA before returning; you pay return shipping. What's the warranty?
VersaStep Pro carries a 5-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If the material fails, we replace the affected section. Full terms on the warranty page.
