Lay the rolls flat in the studio for 24 hours so the vinyl matches the room's temperature and humidity.
Tip · 65–75°F and under 60% RH is the sweet spot.
Concrete or sprung wood, the only thing under our flooring should be the sub-floor itself — no dust, no debris.
Start at the longest wall. Unfurl with the printed arrows pointing the same direction across the whole room.
Tip · Leave a ⅛ inch expansion gap at every wall — the vinyl breathes.
Butt seams tight. Run double-sided marley seam tape down the middle of each join and perimeter tape around the edges.
Light foot-roll along seams, then dance class as normal. Most studios open the next morning.

Yes. As long as the slab is clean, dry, and reasonably level, our flooring lays directly on top — no underlayment required for ballet, jazz, modern, or contemporary work. For tap, add a sprung sub-floor underneath.
For pointe, ballet, jazz, and contemporary — yes. The controlled-slip matte surface is engineered for turns without rosin. For tap and hard-shoe styles, choose Rosco Adagio (sound-optimized) or VersaStep Pro and pair it with a sprung sub-floor for the right rebound. ProStep is for soft shoes only.
